Team TotalEnergies has ended Alexandre Geniez’s contract, three months on from him receiving a suspended sentence for domestic abuse against his ex-wife.
He had remained a team member following his conviction, but did not ride for it, Cycling Weekly reported.
The French cycling outfit said on social media it has reached an agreement with him to terminate his contract and he is no longer part of it. Geniez was due to retire at the end of this year.
