Professional snooker player Michael White has been sent to prison for three years after being convicted of multiple domestic abuse assaults which took place over more than a year.
Saying such behaviour is not tolerated, the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association has terminated his membership, and removed White, of Neath Abbey, south Wales, from the World Snooker Tour and world rankings. He was in 60th place at the time of his conviction.
